The website , which continues to be provided as a free service to the community is currently undergoing changes as part of its continuous development. In particular , community groups and local businesses now have the opportunity to have their own page that they can readily update events live time.

We are very proud to report that at the Awards Ceremony held in Saltburn today West Boldon received Four Gold medals:

West Boldon - Large Village

Hamilton Terrace - Voluntary Group

West Boldon Lodge - Conservation Project

Red Lion Public House - Licensed Premises

Many thanks are due to all those who helped with these projects. A marvelous achievement from our first attempt in 2010 where we achieved a very commendable SILVER more....

Nine sites in the Boldon area have been suggested as dumps on which residents may tip refuse which is not normally collected by the Council. More info...........

After a lot of planning in the design stage, residents of West Boldon now have a sign depicting the villages history. Supported by South Tyneside Council the newly erected sign is situated next to the xmas tree opposite the old Bank Top Garage.

Taken on 5th June 2010 local residents plant up another oak tub with blue campanula and white bacopa around the edges with petunias around the red cordyline australis as part of West Boldon in Bloom.

All plants were grown locally across the road at Tubs and Shrubs Nursery.
