Proms in the Park.

South Shields Seafront is the setting for a fantastic evening of music performed by the South Tyneside Youth Orchestra. Bring your rugs, chairs and a picnic and sing along to all the classics.

West Boldon Residents Association  held a meeting on Thursday 17th July 2008 at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, St. Nicholas Road, West Boldon. Agenda included ideas for future outdoor planting, fund raising ideas were discussed as well as the Christmas Festival plans.

Open Garden
at Hamilton Terrace West Boldon was held on Sunday 6th July 12-5pm Teas, plants, cakes. Supporting St Benedicts Hospice. Despite the weather , the day was well supported by visitors.

West Boldon Residents Association
recently held one of there regular meetings in Boldon Church of England Primary Schoolon 26th June. Guest Speaker : Tony Purcell, Greenscape Supervisor,  outlined the Councils plans for Open Space planting in West Boldon for 2008 and the future.

was launched on 30 October 2007 also. Anyone within South Tyneside or who has an interest in us can join. Its free and easy to join . Its your forum,
so feel free to use it.

Housing development Hall Green Farm is now well under way. For those who are not familiar with the address its on the corner of Hylton Lane and Dipe Lane ( Harrys Farm).

A184 Highway Improvements  Forum Traffic is always at the top of any polls asking about the greatest issues that concern the community  in this area. This is an opportunity for concerned residents   to be able to make any suggestions. Direct to Forum

Boldon Newtown website is now up and running. The address is http://www.boldonnewtown.co.uk/
Although still within the Boldon umbrella, there is a lot of extra activities and events going on which is specifically  related to the Newtown regeneration area so making this website seemed appropriate.

Wrightway Car Parts, Rectory Terrace West Boldon are now seeing a dramatic increase in the sale of patio gas . Where many are closed on Sundays, Wrightway is open weekends.


No reason to take the car in West Boldon. The Red Lion , Black Horse , Wheatsheaf and the Travelling Man are all ready to temp you with wonderful food and drink. All within a few minutes stroll of each other.
