The very first meeting was held in the Village Hall, Boldon Colliery on 25th July 2008.

 A unanimous decision agreed that George Graham would be elected Chairman ,George Wright elected Secretary and Malcolm Urquhart elected Treasurer.
 It was agreed that we should consider making a book/booklet about the history of The Boldons. It was very clear that there was a massive wealth of information regarding all areas of Boldon  available within the group and it should be recorded for the future.

Blacks Corner, East Boldon.

Mainly because of costs we moved to the Grey Horse, East Boldon where we were kindly given an area to hold our meetings free of charge. This helped the group enormously. However , by June 2009, the group had grew to such a size that we needed a larger venue.

Therefore from June 2009 we hold our meetings in the Roberts Room in the community centre. Meetings are open to everyone and are held on the last Tuesday of the month at 6.30.
